2. Religion in Morocco and intro to Islam
3. Language in Morocco and basic calligraphy
4. Economy of Morocco and rural vs. urban divide
5. Music and culture of Morocco
Math and Science:
1. Chemistry of natural, chemical, and indigo dyes
2. Geometry within the carpets
3. Mathematical drafting of designs
Current curriculum for the Kantara Project focuses on three main subject areas: Social Studies, Art, and the Sciences. Programming focuses upon 3rd graders and 6th graders while specific parts of the programming may be adapted for High School students. Classes are presented in 45 minute blocks and include the following lectures and activities:
